SUMMER WEEKLONG PROGRAMS:
Program Facilitator

Education in Action hires Texas State educators to facilitate programs. Facilitator compensation includes $110 per day plus meals and lodging for each week-long program.

Facilitator Responsibilities:
bullet Supervise an assigned Leadership Group (10 students) throughout the weeklong program and ensure that they have the best experience possible
bullet Implement curriculum
bullet Conduct simulations
bullet Facilitate small group discussions relating to the curriculum and daily activities.
bullet Prepare students for each day’s activities through Leadership Groups


Requirements:

bullet Texas Educator
bullet Enthusiasm for, and strong knowledge of, Texas History, Government and Geography
bullet High energy level and the ability to work long hours
bullet Attendance at a paid training session
bullet Ability to reside at the conference site during the programs scheduled to work


Assistant Director

Education in Action hires people who are interested in event planning to assist the program Director. Assistant Director compensation includes $110 per day plus meals and lodging for each week-long program.

Assistant Director Responsibilities:

bullet Prepare Leadership Group meeting rooms.
bullet Take care of medical concerns.
bullet Prepare all site visits.
bullet Assist in getting to and from sites in a timely manner.

Requirements:
bullet Must be at least 21 years of age.
bullet Have a high energy level and the ability to work long hours.
bullet Must hold a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
bullet Ability to reside at the conference site during the programs scheduled to work.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING DAY PROGRAMS
(Programs take place during the school year.):

Day Program Instructor
Education in Action hires people who are interested in working with 4th-6th graders to facilitate day programs.

Facilitator Responsibilities:
bullet Implement curriculum on bus ride to visited sites
bullet Provide guidance to educators on visited sites
bullet Assist Director throughout the day

Requirements:
bullet Must be at least 18 years of age
bullet Enthusiasm for, and strong knowledge of, Texas History, Government and Geography
bullet High energy level and the ability to work long hours
bullet Attendance at scheduled training session
bullet Ability to drive to scheduled school location
